Each meeting, books / articles from different sides of a controversial topic will be discussed in order to learn more about the topic.  It's a chance to hear views and debate with people outside of your circle. The news often gives us a simplified snapshot of the issues. Hopefully this book club will provide a chance to learn about the nuances of the arguments, and get some context behind the stats and facts that are thrown around.
